Daniel Finley knew even as a small child that nutrition, fitness and lifestyle were key to health and become an obsession for him. With a thirst for knowledge, he embarked on a life-long journey to learn as much as possible about healthy living. Early in is teens he started to experience digestive issues and he wanted to find a way to alleviate them, ideally through nutrition and lifestyle before they turned into serious health concerns.
During this process, Daniel began to study Eight Step Preying Mantis Kung Fu and eventually became and instructor. Through Kung Fu, Daniel met Grandmaster James Shyun, a Doctor of Chinese Medicine. During his work with James Shyun, he learned not only how to practice and teach Kung Fu and received advanced training in Martial Arts Medicine called Abimoxi. Through these methods he learned how to practice and teach martial arts without causing injury to his body long-term he also learned how to live in such a way that nourished his health.

After experiencing the depth of wisdom contained in Chinese Medicine first hand, Daniel Finley knew that it was something he wanted to pursue for the rest of his life and as his work. Daniel Finley attended the Texas Health Science University in Austin (formerly the Texas College of Oriental Medicine) receiving a Masters in Oriental Medicine and licensure in Acupuncture in 2008. He has been in private practice ever since.

Daniel has a special passion for working with those who have suffered trauma and tragedy. He spends two days a week at an in-patient facility using Acupuncture working with veterans, many of which are returning from Afghanistan and Iraq with addiction, chronic pain and failing health. That work has helped him become a healer for many of the concerns that plague us all: depression and anxiety, pain and digestive issues.
Daniel Finley brings his talents in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to Living Well with a special focus on working with those who struggle with depression and anxiety, athletes wanting to maximize performance and reduce injury and those who want to relieve stress, sleep better and have more energy.
